So Dylan's sister Hana has been crashing on our couch for the last 2 1/2 weeks, hogging the bathrooms, eating our food, sitting on the computer all day, and lamenting about how she misses her boyfriend, waaa waaa. Why do I put up with it, you say. Because she makes dope flower arrangements for my house out of stuff she picks from yards. Also, I love her.

Checkin out the dam fish at the Multnomah fish hatchery and dam.

Gage loves the little fish, but got a little creeped out when the 9 ft, 600 lb. sturgeon came by.

"I'm tricking them!" Liv shouts as she throws leaves at the rainbow trout and watches them try to eat them.

Aunt Hana with Liv and Gage, watching the salmon swim with all their might up these tiers to spawn. I wonder if they would swim so vigorously if they knew they would soon be eaten...

The up side of rain are the rainbows. During this amazing storm, thunder and lightning were plentiful, but the sun was nearly set and shining beneath the clouds. Everything was a bright golden hue for hours, and you can't see them all, but there were 3 rainbows all in a row. We turned off the movie we were watching to watch glory of the storm.

Here's how a parade like the Rose Festival goes in Portland: 1. Tape off sections, camp over night, or arrive at 6 am on the day of the parade. 2. Sit in pouring rain. 3. Take quick picture when/if rain stops for a second. 4. Go home cold and wet.

I made a box castle that is still entertaining the kids three weeks later. Forget toys, man, boxes are where it's at.

Granny G caught this big crab. Note that it is bigger than the crab Dylan caught at previous beach vacation. I wouldn't let her cook it and eat it because it would make my tummy and heart sad, so they fed it marshmallows and set it free. Liv was sad to see her friend go, but probably less sad than if she saw her friend go into a pot and then into Granny's mouth.

Gorgeous Olivia in her beautiful dress at the stunning arches of the breathtaking beach.
